THE MISSION

New Moon Farm is dedicated to the principle of sustainable agriculture and to the standards of the organic and biodynamic method of agriculture. Our promise and pledge is to maintain the highest standards of seasonal and nature driven production in everything we grow. We aspire to provide information and assistance to anyone interested in the practice and philosophy of organic or sustainable farming methods and self-sufficient, green living.

Safe Food Pledge
Here at the Farm, we are passionate about growing heirloom and open-pollinated vegetables, thus helping to preserve the natural diversity of our food crops. No genetically modified food will ever be grown here at New Moon, based on our strong personal non-belief in these types of organisms. Our varieties are chosen for taste, production, natural hardiness and disease/pest resistance. We use organic seed sources, if at all possible, for the varieties that we grow. We also practice the art of saving our own organically grown seeds year to year and have several family heirloom varieties of our own. We sell produce that we have grown ourselves here at the farm to assure that only organic and natural methods of agriculture have been used. You have our pledge that everything that comes from New Moon Farm is grown using 100% organic methods.

We do not use chemical or synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, soil additives or any other polymerized medium for growing any of our produce nor will we. You may be assured that we adhere not only to the USDA/NOP regulated standards for the production of our crops, but attempt to exceed those standards, based on our own personal philosophies about permaculture, sustainable agriculture and the philosophy of organic growing. We stand both accountable and responsible for the good stewardship of our home, the Earth and believe in protecting and preserving it for all future generations.
