I would like to dedicate this section to two of the best cooks I have had the pleasure of knowing, my two grandmothers. One was Southern and the other wasn't. Under their tutelage, I learned to prepare everything aioli and gnocchi to pintos and cornbread (and a lot of stuff in between.) The main thing I learned from them is that every recipe you prepare needs to have a pinch of invention, a dash of creativity and a dab of fearlessness. And a big dollop of love. Thanks, Grans, this is for you.
