Farm Share CSA Options for 2008
depending on factors such as eating habits, season, etc.
The following options are not available as individual shares and must be purchased in conjuncion with a produce share but may be combined in any way that meets the needs of the member.
How Does the Farm Share CSA Work? We are offering share size and add-on options for shares in 2008, so that a larger family or those splitting a share can better meet their needs. Shares are processed twice a week, with picking and prep done the day before, which means that produce received has been harvested within 24 hours of receipt by members. In 2008, we will be delivering shares, instead of requiring members to pick up their goods. This has proven to be more cost effective, less impacting on the environment, more convenient for customers and more managable for the Farm. Shares will be delivered on Tuesdays and on Fridays and each member will be assigned to whichever day deliveries are being made in their area. There is no additional fee for delivery, unless member is out of the regular delivery area. To see if you are located in the "free" delivery, contact the Farm with the address where your share would be delivered. Locations outside the free zone would be subject to a surcharge, determined by mileage and on a case by case basis. |
